What Guided Preparation means

Guided Preparation is a reusable Aspire capability supporting the Prepare need across separately approved service areas. Its purpose is to help someone organise relevant factual information and use appropriate checklists, without making legal decisions for them.

It is not a service that determines legal rights, assesses a claim’s prospects, recommends legal strategy, drafts litigation arguments or sends documents on your behalf.

Current availability: Information only. Read the existing free resources without an account.

First supported engineering focus

Work on the underlying service initially focuses on straightforward undisputed business unpaid invoices in England and Wales.

This is a development focus, not a statement that invoice cases are currently accepted or that any specific invoice is suitable.

Automated journey: Coming soon.

A simple preparation process

These steps describe how to organise existing information. They are not legal instructions for any particular situation.

1. Understand

Read general educational information about the topic and check where it applies.

2. Organise

Privately record dates, parties and correspondence relevant to your own preparation.

3. Check

Consult official instructions and available factual checklists. Verify deadlines independently.

4. Decide

Find further free guidance or seek a suitably qualified professional where advice is needed.

When might information-only preparation help?

General record-keeping can be useful for everyday commercial and personal situations. However, whether a future automated product is appropriate will depend on its approved scope and safety checks.

Useful factual records

Agreements and messages, invoices or receipts, a chronology, copies of official correspondence and questions for an adviser.

Availability: Information only.

Reasons to seek advice promptly

Court or tribunal papers, a possible deadline, safety threats, insolvency, serious consequences, substantial disputed facts, complicated claims or uncertainty about jurisdiction.

Keep case details private

The public Aspire website does not accept legal-case narratives or document uploads. Do not send confidential agreements, court paperwork, allegations, case references or sensitive personal information through a general contact form.

General information may apply differently across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and other jurisdictions. The future first invoice journey is being developed only for England and Wales, subject to individual release approval.

If an immediate safety issue exists in the UK, call 999 when it is safe. Do not rely on this website for urgent intervention.

Guided Preparation questions

Can I use Guided Preparation to get legal advice?

No. Aspire offers general information and factual preparation resources, not tailored legal advice.

Can I generate an Action Plan now?

No. The eligible automated Action Plan service is Coming soon and is not offered for public use.

Will the platform deal with disputed invoices?

No such promise is made. The first engineering focus is straightforward undisputed business invoices in England and Wales, and it remains under separate release controls.

What should I do if I have court papers or a deadline?

Check the relevant official procedure and seek appropriate professional advice promptly. Do not assume an online preparation product will manage the deadline.

Are basic resources free?

Yes. The existing public Resources area is available without a paid subscription.
